Lost in City Lights - The New Cities
This is an album that just makes me go 'Wow'. While listening to it for the first time, I thought it was a nice album, but after the second time I listened to it, I couldn't get it out of my mind. To me, this is definetely the best album 2009. The single 'Dead End, Countdown' has a great rhythm, nice lyrics and gets you into the groove in no time. 'Sinking has never been so easy' is my personal second favorite. Every song on the album is nicely composed and powerful.
I would give a ranking of 10 stars, but my ranking goes from 1-5, so it gets 5, but with a shine around it ;3

Artwork - The Used
What to say, other than THIS IS MOST LIKELY THE SECOND BEST ALBUM THIS YEAR(Best is Lost in City Lights, personal favorite). So I've been waiting for month on this album and I've not been let down, it's rhytmic, loud at the right places and quiet where it needs to be. Berts voice is awesome as ever and the guys give us their everything. I especially adore 'Come Undone' with it's awesome lyrics and great impact. 'Blood on my Hands' (A.K.A. the Single) is one of those songs just can't forget and it never leaves your mind(I've had times already where the intro stuck in my head and I was thinking what awesome song it was).'Kissing you goodbye' is my personal second fave. It's too cute to be true and still one of those songs that you instantly pair with The Used. The album, overall, is just how we like them Used: Full of contradiction- sweet and agressive, strong and nice, gross and beautiful.
Billy Talent III - Billy Talent
Still Billy Talent with their own unique style which immediatly makes you think:'That's Billy Talent, right?'- even before you hear Benjamin sing. Lyrics are nice, compositions cool- The songs get to your ears, wander into your head and STAY THERE. The single 'Rusted from the rain' is a perfect example for that, as well as ' Pocketful of dreams' or the a little more sit-back 'Devil on my shoulder'. Overall the albums a little more quiet than 'Billy Talent' and 'Billy Talent II' - as in the songs are 'slower'(if you can say something like that with Billy Talent) and less screamed than before (in relation to earlier songs like 'Red Flag' or 'River Below' )- which could be explained with the more melodic and rhytmic nature of the album. Every song is complete and finished in itself. The album is not only worth a try- but a must-have.

Metamorphosis - Papa Roach
Simply and purely Papa Roach as we all remember them. The album is nicely put together, songs are just what you pair with Papa Roach. 'Hollywood Whore' comes with cool, challenging lyrics, 'State of Emergency' is definetely one of those songs you can't get out of your head no matter how hard you try. Songs like the more quiet 'Carry Me', or the less based on loud, hard guitar/bass riffs and drums based 'Had enough' give a nice last touch to the album and make it one complete piece.
